Why a die

A cube has twenty-four ways to sit on a square, and a player can hold all of them in mind with a little practice. That makes it a rare object: simple to picture, yet rich enough to build hundreds of distinct boards around.

We like puzzles where the challenge is spatial instead of verbal, so a board makes sense to anyone, whatever language they read.

How boards are built

We sketch a board, feed it to a small solver we wrote, and look at the shortest route it finds. If that route is obvious, we add a stamp or a turntable and try again until the answer surprises us.

We release our games for Android through Google Play. Before release, every game gets a privacy page of its own on this site describing its handling of data.
